Yoga Workshop for Kids on Early Release Day March 7th, 12:45-2:15pm at the Hingham Community Center!

On Wednesday, March 7th - an Early Release Day in the Hingham school district - join Meg Durkin of Yoga Magic 4 Kids for a great Yoga Workshop For Kids (Ages 5-10) at the Hingham Community Center!  

Participants will enjoy a fun and active yoga class in which they'll learn about the foundations of yoga, including body and breath awareness, relaxation, and social-emotional learning skills, coupled with a creative yoga craft. 


No prior yoga experience is required for this engaging class!  



Who: Kids (Ages 5-10)


When: Wednesday, March 7th - Early Release Day!


Time: 12:45 - 2:15pm


Cost: $20 per child


Where: The Hingham Community Center is centrally located at 70 South Street, in downtown Hingham, MA. The community center is celebrating its 300th anniversary in 2018 and is a great venue for classes, workshops, programs, and other activities!


What to Bring / Wear: It is recommended that your child bring his/her own yoga mat (though there will be some available if you need to borrow one), as well as a water bottle with a spouted lid. Dress for movement!


Other: The yoga workshop needs at least 8 participants in order to take place. If we don't get the sign ups we need then the program will be cancelled and you will not be charged. Please share this page with your family and friends, and let's make this great Yoga Workshop For Kids happen!


The yoga workshop will be taught by Meg Durkin, Founder of Yoga Magic 4 Kids. Meg also teaches yoga at South Shore Conservatory, Inly School, and South Shore YMCA - Quincy. Furthermore, Meg leads training sessions around the country for both educators seeking to add yoga and mindfulness into their classrooms and adults working to become children's yoga teachers.
