FAQs
Why do we need the Farm to Pantry Program?
Because it connects local students with farmers and the land, and it teaches them how to sow, cultivate, grow, weed, and harvest organic produce for the community. It also connects local students with families in need and fills a critical unmet need for local food pantries. A majority of contributions to local food pantries are canned or processed foods. Our Farm to Pantry Program changes this by delivering fresh highly nutritious organic produce. The gratitude that recipients have when they receive this produce is difficult to put into words.
In addition to Father Bill’s Place, what other food pantries does the Program deliver to?
In addition to Father Bill’s Place, the Program delivers fresh organic produce to Wellspring in Hull, the Cohasset Food Pantry, and the Scituate Food Pantry. With your support, we can expand the Program to include other local food pantries.
Where can I learn more about Father Bill’s Place?
Father Bill’s Place is an Emergency Shelter located in Quincy, MA. You can learn more about Father Bill’s Place

Is lunch included during the November 14 Harvest Day from 10AM – 2PM?
Yes, lunch and drinks will be provided by Hannaford's. A $500 gift card to Hannaford's was awarded to Jon Belber and Holly Hill Farm. We will be using this gift card on November 14 to provide food and drinks to all of our volunteers! If you have specific food requirements or food allergies, please bring your own food.
