What is the Farm to Food Pantry Program?  The Farm to Food Pantry Program at Holly Hill Farm is a donor and volunteer supported program that plants, grows, harvests, and delivers fresh, nutritious, organic produce to local food pantries, shelters, kitchens, and families in need. Local teenagers who volunteer with the program learn about organic gardening, the value of local food, food security, and how prevalent hunger is in our local community. It's an eye-opening and powerful experience for all of us, and the work done by our volunteers has a profound, lasting, and positive impact on them. The program also fills a critical unmet need for local food pantries. Specifically, a majority of contributions to local food pantries are canned or processed foods, and the Farm to Food Pantry Program addresses this by delivering fresh, highly nutritious, organic produce to families in need. Recipients of the program’s fresh food include Father Bill's Place, Wellspring, and the Cohasset & Scituate Food Pantries. The gratitude that recipients have is hard to put into words -- it is deeply appreciated!

What's your fundraising goal?  Our current goal is $1,000, but we want to raise as much money as possible to support the Farm to Food Pantry Program! Running the Program is expensive. Each year it requires a significant amount of expert organic farming time and new materials and supplies. Annually, we need to pay for wooden raised beds, soil mix, fencing, compost, signage, seeds, seedlings, and teaching, planting, harvest and delivery time. The more money we raise, the more fresh organic produce we can grow and deliver to local families and food pantries in need!
