    Hello Everyone!

    I am happy to let you know that Northwell Health is planning to write an article on Cycling for Change. Their media team will be at the event tomorrow doing interviews and taking photos of participants.

    To consent to having your photo taken, please review this Media Release and Authorization Form, and if you approve, please print and sign it and give it to a c4c volunteer at the registration desk tomorrow. You can also email your signed copy directly to me, santhoshpaulus6@gmail.com.

    We appreciate those who are willing to help us put some positive media out there to help put an end to human trafficking.

    Thank you!

    Welcome to Team c4c!

    I’m excited that you are now a part of Cycling For Change.  Thanks for helping us to give hope to those caught in the horrors of human trafficking.  We truly believe that HOPE changes everything.

    Here are some updates prior to Saturday:

    Check on the links to get familiar with your route based on your distance. The 1.4 and 5k walk runs in addition to the 5 mile ride will have a half road closure with Nassau County Police presence, while the 25 and 50 mile rides are open road.  We encourage everyone to obey all traffic laws. There will be a rest stop with SAG support and bathroom facilities in Syosset which is roughly the half way point for the 25 mile ride and roughly at the 1/3 and 2/3 point of the 50 mile ride. If you are doing the 25 or 50 mile ride I would strongly encourage you to download the route to your smartphone or bike gps prior to the ride.

    * Route / Cue Sheet active links can be found on the Bill Bauer Bike-a-Walk-a-thon Registration Page and at this URL: https://www.fortua.com/campaigns/2nd-annual-bill-bauer-memorial-bike-a-thon-in-bayville-ny-on-oct-7-

    * Each route starts and ends at West Harbor Beach Memorial Park in the Village of Bayville. The routes travel along scenic backroads throughout the Town of Oyster Bay on the North Shore of Long Island.

    * Event Timing :

    If the cycling fields are large, we will send riders off in waves based on average expected pace. The start times will remain the same but riders will be expected to self-select which wave they go off with for each ride. If we choose to do this, an announcement will be made in advance of the start.

    * Overflow Parking:  Centre Island Beach Field, Bayville, NY

    Please invite friends and family to join us in Bayville. This year, we’ve added Raffle Baskets, Live Music, Face Painting and more! Let’s make it a day for the whole family!  And if you have friends and family who would like to walk, run or ride, they can still sign up to participate here!

    If you would like to be a c4c Ambassador and encourage people to join us “VIRTUALLY” from anywhere in the US or around the world for a mere $5.  Both local and virtual riders will find links to register at www.cycling4change.org – Together we hope to make #iHateTraffick trend all over Social Media on October 7th!

    When you receive this email, enter this number 81010 and text: @cycling247  Choose S,P, or T (it doesn’t matter which one) to receive updates re: October 7th. Raffle winners will be announced around 11:00 am.

    Thank you for joining us as we walk, run & cycle to break the cycle of human trafficking!  #iHateTraffick
